About Me
Since childhood, I have been listening to the gospel almost every week, but I was ‘dead in my sins’ and hence, my spiritual eyes were blinded. This continued until 2013 when a situation I was in spiraled out of control and all my ‘hopes in men’ came crashing down. While this event in itself isn’t significant, it helped break my pride of self-reliance. I believe the work of the Lord started in me at that time.
Progressively through the next few years, the gospel was becoming more real to me, I was able to recognize deep-seated sin and its effects in me and my own rebellion and pride in being ‘self-dependent’. In 2016, I started seriously praying and asking God to forgive me for my many sins, and to deliver me from His righteous wrath. By the assurance of the Scriptures, I was made alive in Christ and my spiritual
eyes were opened.
In 2017, I made a commitment to the Lord, to dedicate myself to the authority, discipline and the membership of a local church, the bride of Christ. As I sat under biblical teaching and
invested time in studying the scriptures, I recognized a growing, but previously absent love for the scriptures. My delight is to wake up every day, spend quality time in studying the scriptures and learning from them truths that are revealed to ‘equip a man of God in every good work’. My love for the Word of God has steadily increased and I take great delight in studying, discussing and learning from other gifted men the truths in the Scriptures.
I enjoy reading books, fellowship of the saints and prayer in private & corporate. I have observed new God honoring desires in studying the word, in praying, in serving the
brothers and the sisters in the church and assisting the local church in either management or in the ministry (evangelism and prayer).
I have, since 2017, started a systematic study of the Scriptures starting from Romans (to understand doctrine) followed by the letters of the Apostles.
