at a very young age, my brother, my sister and I were introduced to God, sin and salvation. We grew up in the church, learning memory verses, singing the hymns and were always reminded of our priority towards God. I was quite young when I first heard about Gods death on the cross and I remember wanting eternal life and asking God of the same. In my teenage, as I understood sin better, the Holy Spirit convicted me and in Jun 2009 I committed my life to Christ. For a while after I really struggled with the assurance of salvation and in Oct 2010 in DT camp, God assured me through his Word that he has once and for all blotted out all my sin and that He was living in me. Since then God has brought me a long way, teaching me through the many ups and down in my spiritual journey but never letting me go. Teaching me to let go of the world & myself and cling onto Him. Currently he’s been teaching me a lot about introspection and worship. God is increasingly showing me how I need him and how much I need to depend on him. As I grow closer to God, He is constantly revealing the importance of the church to an individual and to the world we live in, the importance of corporate worship, fellowship and daily confession/sanctification.
